QCAM Annual Meeting 2023
On Friday, September 29th QCAM held its Annual Meeting. At this meeting we were joined by members from all the consortium partners as well as members from our external advisory board.
The first half of the meeting was spent reviewing the history of the project and all the great accomplishments QCAM had during its second year. Some of the highlights from that session included
Seeing our student impact grow 100% in several areas
Featuring several QCAM alumni, one of which has received a post-doctoral placement at ORNL
highlights from our 2nd Annual QCAM Summer Camp and summer outreach activities
Updates from both university partners: Navajo Technical University & Prairie View A&M University
During the second half of the meeting, several of our QCAM undergraduate and graduate research students gave presentations to update us on the progress being made on their research projects. Each of these students was given the opportunity to present their initial results and then get feedback from both our QCAM faculty, NNSA partners, and external advisory board members.
The last portion of the day was spent discussing plans for the remainder of the QCAM project and the potentiality of extending the project for another 3-5 years. Everyone was eager to see QCAM continue as they all feel it has had great success in creating a pipeline for students to enter the NNSA industry.
