QCAM announces Faculty Workshop to be held in June 2024!
QCAM is excited to announce a brand new opportunity for faculty and staff from any MSIPP consortium to get hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing. This June, QCAM will host a unique workshop at Navajo Technical University. This workshop will provide a holistic view of metal additive manufacturing including pre-processing, processing, post-processing, and validation.
The program will provide hands-on experience in:
Metal AM via directed energy deposition
Metrology
Electric discharge machining
X-ray computed tomography
Mechanical testing using digital image correlation
Scanning electron microscopy
Participants' hotel and lunch for each day of the workshop will be provided, along with a $1275 stipend to help offset any other costs associated with attending.
Eligibility: due to funding restrictions, all participants must be US citizens or permanent residents and an active faculty/staff member at an MSIPP Consortium university.
