NMSU Recruitment visit from LANL
The QCAM team at NMSU was fortunate to host another site visit, this time from our partners at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The team of Mr. Tommy Rockward, Dr. Eric Davis, & Dr. Cristian Pantea joined us on February 2nd. The primary focus of their visit was to meet and hopefully recruit students to work at LANL.
The team spent the morning discussing the future of the QCAM Project and potential ideas for further long-term collaboration. Then, Senior undergraduate students from across the College of Engineering were invited to hear more about LANL and everything it has to offer at a recruitment session held in Jett Hall. 12 students attended this session and several were eager to follow up on the potential to pursue opportunities at LANL.
In the afternoon, Dr. Davis was invited to present at the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Seminar Series. Dr. Davis presented on “Applied Acoustics and Applications in Additive Manufacturing” to over 30 graduate students from within the Mechanical Engineering department.
Overall, it was a very successful and informative visit. To learn more about the opportunities available to you at LANL, check out their website at lanl.jobs/creative/students
